I understand that everyone has their own fears to overcome. Challenges that are a playful part of life for some can be paralyzing for others. Putting their life into an ever slowing grind. But I think one of the most shared fears is rejection. Everyone knows that feeling. Like a paper cut. Unexpected. A lingering burning. Never getting used to it. Unable to protect yourself because you don't know when it slices you. It's not even that you want what you are rejected from to end up with any ill effects. You just want to be part of it. The endless need to belong. Struggling to accept that no matter how much you want something, or someone, if their un-appreciation devalues your existence, then it is not the habitat to strive for. The people and places that will make you excel will embrace you no matter where you are in life. For they recognize your value long before you realize that you have been born in complete worthiness.
