Legend has it

My mother didn’t want me. Understandably, having 3 children under the age of 2. The gynecologist refused to prescribe her birth control. And I came to be. At birth the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck several times, with barely enough slack for me to come out of the birth canal. A blue baby I was. As a toddler I was found face down in a puddle while going astray during one of our family excursions. Choked on a hot dog. Burned my thumb to a black crisp after receiving an electric shock by touching a lamp. Was knocked unconscious for hours from a rollerskating accident. My Dad pulled me from the bottom of a lake once, as I was learning how to swim. The famous bicycle accident that caused the bike to triple flip in mid air. Smashing my Dad and me on the concrete. Leading to a several months hospital stay for him, minor injuries for me. I required 4 units ( appr. 12 pints) of blood after childbirth. And that’s just some of the things I know. Great reminders that I am here for a reason. That I am living out my legend. I’m sure there have been other events averted to keep me here. I don’t need sustainable evidence to believe. If you look back on your own life, you can see the synchronicities that interlink, events and people, invisible threads that lead you on your way of living out your own legend.
