As I mentioned before, people turn two kinds of ways when they become aware of their roots and are left at the first fork of their destiny. There are other people who plainly accept what has been handed to them. Fate is you and I meeting. Destiny is what you make of it. Fate is the circumstances you were born into. Destiny is what you make of it. Some people simply let fate be their prime determinator of their life. In essence they are not moving beyond the circumstances given. I couldn’t tell you what makes a person decide to follow the long trodden path of previous generations. Not going beyond what they are exposed to in their childhood. Even though it’s within their reach. As you mature and grow and become aware of all the potential within you, it is on you to dig out the gifts hidden within the set of circumstances given to you. Your roots are given to you to sustain the nurturance of your spiritual evolution. Only because the previous and surrounding generations have failed to expand does not mean that you can’t blossom and bear the fruit of your essence.
