Lesson well learned

One of the best lessons for me so far has been the understanding of meeting people where they are in their evolution. But not just that. It’s the comprehension that each and one of us can “only do our own being” as Ram Dass put it. How that plays out for me is that I am perfectly comfortable giving someone the space to stay where they choose to be at that time. Personally, I have been through places in my growth where I simple got hung up. Stuck. Unable to absorb the messages delivered to me by the universe. Cycling in the same behavioral pattern. There would be situations where I am hashing it over and over with a friend or confidante, and no matter how the other person would spin it for me, I couldn’t just grasp it and move forward. You know those repeat conversations you have with people in your life when they appear to want to resolve an issue or situation, yet no matter what insights and advise you give them they keep on doing exactly what they have been doing. Just to come back to you and “complain” about it some more. The majority of the time that person will stop coming to you because they pick up the vibe that you are tired of hearing the same garbage. That you have judged them on some level. Or they just get so wrapped up with something else in their lives that they forget about the issue or situation, until it arises again. As it always will. Until it’s time for any one of us to take the blinders off and see the truth about what we were unable to resolve for ourselves.
