So I am sure that I am not the only one here who has had her fair share of infatuations.
Infatuated-having a fascination or intense liking for something. Marked by foolish or unreasoning fondness.
And upon landing back on solid ground being just as perplexed as everyone else how you could get so smitten. I have come to believe that there’s an art to holding yourself in balance over something or someone that has the ability to draw you in with such fascination. I guess it’s a skill that can’t be taught, but must be experienced to its highest high and its lowest low.
Once you come to realize that you have allowed your partiality to skew your vision of reality, the landing can be quite unpleasant. That’s where the skill of balancing yourself comes in. Yes, deep down I think we all want to believe in magic. But don’t let magic keep tricking you into forcing your expectations on someone, therefore keeping you from connecting with them on the reality of humanity.
When you allow yourself to see people for what they are, it gives you the opportunity to appreciate the intrinsic beauty they are born with. And not see them for just what you want them to be.
Consequently opening you up to truly include all the bits and pieces of someone’s uniqueness into your love for them.
