The can'ts that oughta make you can

I came across this post by Jacob Nordby (https://www.facebook.com/author.jacobnordby?fref=ts) the other day and it sort of simmered with me. You know, some things have to stew before you can make something of it. Anyways, if I had anything to say to myself it would be to pay attention to the "can nots".
The “can’ts” that you hear from others and all those ”can nots” you hear from that little voice inside. WHO tells you that you can't? If it’s externally, nix those people. Whoever doesn't support you to explore, live or be in the shape and form it takes to bring you alive, get rid of them. Let them dwell in their own suppressive environment without allowing them to toxify yours and hindering you from being what you are born to be. If it's that inside voice that tells you " I can't do that”, then figure out the source of it. Most if us hang onto antiquated belief systems instilled in us during our youth when we were not mature enough to differentiate between beneficial advise and fear mongers trying to hold us back. Granted, a lot of times those fear mongers actually "mean(t) well". Yet their self-limiting beliefs will choke out your spirit before it even blossoms.
I can honestly tell you that anytime I didn't listen to the "can't", no matter if it was voiced externally or internally, I either ended up having the most fun ever or ended up propelling myself forward exponentially in my spiritual growth. Lessons well learned and lessons well earned.
