When did God get such a bad rep?
I’m sitting in class last night. It’s energy class, one of my favorite things. Among the subjects presented: what are other words for Life force? Chi, Qi, Prana, Ki, Wakan etc…on the bottom of the list: Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit definition- In the belief of many Christians, one of the three persons in the one God, along with the Father and the Son (Jesus is the Son); the Holy Spirit is also called the Holy Ghost. Jesus promised the Apostles that he would send the Holy Spirit after his Crucifixion and Resurrection.
Obviously I have been on my personal quest for enlightenment and Spirituality and all the basics of who am I and what am I doing here. Otherwise I wouldn’t be writing about this. I am currently going through this puzzlement of why God gets such a bad rep? As I am not the only one having set foot out there of finding whatever drives me, I find it interesting that in Western Society or Christian upbringings, there seems to be more people renouncing God. Or converting to another religion. Or proclaiming themselves not to be affiliated with any religion (myself currently included in that).
I just don’t get the impression that people who are born Hindu or Buddhist or Muslim go through that kind of religious struggle of separating themselves from the belief system that has been indoctrinated upon them. My basic bottom line belief is that we all come from Love and we will all return to Love. No matter how we spin the story of Source, no matter how many different names we come up with or how many interpretations of God are out there and no matter how many different rules or regulations on how one ought to live their life based on their religious belief system.
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.-Genesis 2:7
