The Monster inside

I have been fired a time or two in my life. Which we all know , of course, is that you don’t get fired. You allow yourself to get fired. As in everything you do in your workplace will boil down to that your work environment is the wrong place for you to be. Surely you know the rules and policies. Undoubtedly you know what do to, or more so, not to do to keep a job. But that’s not the scenario I am talking about here.

I am talking about people who let the monster inside of them rule the decisions they make and the actions they take and then want to turn around and blame “the system” for it. Nah, the system has absolutely nothing to do with your characterless inhumane behavior that everyone else around you recognizes for what it is. What system would you like to blame when you display that same behavior outside of the workplace?

I have seen people at their worst level of humanity covered under the cloak of company rules. Cunningly and connivingly. All the while knowing that there is ALWAYS another choice. For one, the most obvious one, if there really and truly is no other choice and you don’t believe in the company’s values and how they enforce their rules and policies on their employees, then why are YOU selling yourself out to that system? But most often that’s not even the case. Those sort of people eventually end up walking out on the company for they simply can’t coalesce their personal morals with any unethical behavior enforced by any company.

No, there are plenty of other solutions that can allow for decent treatment at any company. There are always exceptions to any rule. In my personal experience, it is frankly people being a@*holes who ruthlessly and at times maliciously enforce any sort of regulations.
