This will be my only blog that has a political spin on it.

I felt compelled to add my two cents worth after coming across this video. It’s not about Donald Trump doing his spiel. It’s about all the people laughing ( with him).

I am an immigrant. Legal, by the way, but really what did that matter to all the people flooding America when they came over in shiploads to build this country, willingly or enslaved.

Anyways, immigrants do not have the right to vote. I have zero political interest in that regard. In my opinion, there has to be something better than the circus any democratic country goes through during election years. It always makes me wonder why anyone has the desire to put themselves out there publicly, to do what they do, and who really is behind the scenes of their scripted actions.

Which brings me to Donald Trump. In my opinion the biggest buffoon out there yet who has arrived in this political spectacle. But it’s really not about Donald Trump. It is really about the so discreetly stashed away hatred simmering underneath the surface of the American people. Yes, huff at it. It’s not a nice picture. But take it from the very obvious inequalities of the different races, the still unequal out in the open sexist treatment between the genders to the rather new waging wars of equal rights for one’s sexual orientation or transgender expressions. Then add the not so media wide broadcast social issues of people with special needs, socioeconomic warfare on the working class to keep them in their place, the destruction of our habitat to further individuals greed etc. It’s an endless list.

It’s not that Donald Trump has his opinion on any of these issues and voices them publicly. At least you know where you stand. It’s the people who are agreeing with him. Not just now. They have always felt and thought that way but kept it under the lid of this ridiculous farce of being politically correct. A spade’s a spade no matter how nicely one tries to dress it up with more appropriate language. I really do rather have someone use the more common names about certain things in life, because then I immediately know where this person is standing. Compared to someone muttering under their breath to me what they really think of something or someone since visually I appear to be an ally to their deeply hurtful commentary. I have had plenty of those sort of things happen to me since I have chosen to live in America, with varying degrees of subtlety.

When I worked in the prison system, someone asked one of the guards if he was afraid of being surrounded by all these criminals. His so insightful response was:” No, not at all. At least I know who they are. On the outside I don’t.”

That’s the thing about Donald Trump. In all his ridiculousness, you do know who he is. Unlike the people who are voting for him, keeping the guise of being a “good person” by remaining politically correct in their public interactions.

Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality.[1][2][3] Whereas classical liberalism and European liberalism prioritise liberty, American liberalism and social liberalism stress equality.[4] Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally they support ideas and programs such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, free markets, civil rights, democratic societies, secular governments, and international cooperation.
