I ended up somewhere I should have never ended up but paradoxically enough, ending up there was the only way for me to wake up to the fact that my life had gone awry. Now what was the clue that gave it away that major life changes were in order?
It was my emotions. So yeah, I know, we are all told not to give into our emotions, but there is a difference between giving into emotions and allowing yourself to grow from them. Emotions are energies that have a clear manifestation in the physical body. Emotions are reactions to things that you do not really understand. Emotions should not be judged or repressed. Emotions are a vital part of you as a human being and as such they need to be respected and accepted. You can look upon your emotions as your children who need your attention and respect and your guidance.
An emotion can best be viewed as an energy that comes to you for healing. Therefore it is important to not be completely swept away by the emotion, but to remain able to look at it from a neutral stance. Making decisions based on emotions is making decisions from a non-centered position. You need to release the emotions first and get in touch with your inner core where there is clarity.
Now that is rather difficult to accomplish. Because in the moment the emotion is coming to the surface, you feel so validated in it, that most likely you will allow it to unleash. And cause more harm than good. To yourself and others. You have to be able to tune into yourself enough to recognize the theme of your emotion and take over from there. Of course any of us at any given time feel any of the given emotions that are out there. It is totally appropriate to respond emotionally to something that is unknown to you and overwhelming. But when an emotion becomes the theme of your life, pick any of them, anger, sadness, resentment etc, then it is high time to take a look at yourself to face the changes you have to make to improve the quality of your life.
