"You have to be careful who you want to give your world to." He said softly. She looked at him curiously. She squinched her eyes just a bit as she was trying to figure out what that meant. The left side of his mouth curled up into a half-smile. He loved her facial expressions. He loved her. If he didn't, he would be tempted to say things to her just to see her reaction. But he knew he didn't have to do that. She was animated enough. Surprisingly, despite her like an open book facial expressions, she managed to intrigue him with her inquisitive thinking. He never met anyone who had such a quirky point of view on just about anything. "What do you mean? Wouldn't you want to give the world to the one you love?" she asked. "Of course I would" he replied. Little did she know it was her whom he loved in such a way that it didn't matter to him what world they were in. "But you can give someone only 'your world'..not 'the' world." He bit his lower lip ever so slightly to stop himself from laughing at her expression that crossed her face faster than the thoughts that came with it. "Oh my" she said "but I love my world." Of course she did, he thought to himself, she was love-able for her lingering naivety alone. She must have been incredulous when she was younger. Before life served her the disappointments that come with losing one's innocence. And yet she remained as loving she was. "People want 'the' world. So in their dissatisfaction with 'their' world, they will ransack 'your' world for all it's worth to them and then move on for more..always more. Never enough, never satisfied." He replied, still as softly as before despite the mixed feeling of sadness and anguish rising in him. She looked up at him. Her eyes seemed huge. There was such an unspoken understanding between them anytime one or the other felt pained. "I wouldn't ravage your world. Where my world ends, and yours begins, is where paradise lies. In the yet to be explored wilderness of our own hearts is where I love you most." And for the first time, it was her turn not to laugh at his facial expression. ~•~•~•~•~•~•~• a beautiful milieu Image Lindy https://www.instagram.com/in_da_sticks/
