"Will you watch me Ma?" I turned my head to look at him. He's only eight. You sort of have to expect the unexpected any time. "Watch you what, handsome?", I replied, since he was just sitting there, not doing anything. "You know..will you watch me after you are dead?" I looked at him. Did I already mention you sort of have to expect the unexpected with eight year olds? I nodded my head, more subconsciously than reassuringly. "Of course I'll watch you." Where else would I be, I wondered silently to myself. His shoulders relaxed a bit. A small smile crossed his face. He still believes I'm magical on some level. I watched him as he got up to play his favorite video game in his room. I doubt I'll be around physically, when he realizes that the real things that make life seem magical are much more precious than any conjured up tricks he may believe I have up my sleeve. But I'm certain that he will know I'm watching when he does. ~•~ a beautiful milieu ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "When Ramana Maharshi was dying of cancer his devotees said, 'Please Baba, heal yourself!' He said 'No, no, this body is done.' They begged him, 'Don't leave us! Don't leave us!' and they all started to weep. He looked at them with bewilderment and said, 'Leave you? Don't be silly. Where would I go?' He was telling them, I'm here; that won't change. It's just the body that's leaving."~Ram Dass "Paths to God"
