the palms of my hands held you in such reverence it’s a funny thing when tables are turned you remember when I would reach up asking permission to touch the one I loved so much and you would turn telling me whatever excuse would fit so you could keep your distance I never understood until I realized what fear does to the heart but that was years later after we had grown worlds apart ..and then the tables turned the beauty of your youth gave way to the harsh conditions of living here on planet earth where god put us on purpose most of us have forgotten I’m sure but I know there’s reasons beyond reasons for our short lived existence the call I received broke me to pieces and the little girl emerged that used to reach up for you no matter how many times you rejected her I fell on my knees and prayed silence fell deep within me as I remembered from I don’t know where that prayer is an act of love words are not needed ever now once again the palms of my hands hold you with such reverence you are after all the one I love as you allow me to be the prayer we both need ~•~ a beautiful milieu
