It’s only a given that once I take the focus off I can see what it is it’s details that seemingly hold it together but what if I told you that the essence of anything is never one particular part but all that that makes it come alive for us ~~~ relationships have always been key in my life. They used to be among my top priorities. Not just how I relate to others, but also how I am related to. So much vested energy in trying to sustain that what can always only be for the moment. Here’s a quote by T.S Eliot that I came across a few days ago: “We die to each other daily. What we know of other people is only our memory of the moments during which we knew them. And they have changed since then. To pretend that they and we are the same is a useful and convenient social convention which must sometimes be broken. We must also remember that at every meeting we are meeting a stranger.” I’m not sure if there is anything that could be added to that. In my personal life it has taken on the meaning that I cannot force anyone’s hand in how they relate to me, but much more importantly, that I don’t (have to) force my own. ~•~ a beautiful milieu
